FOR UAW VICE PRESIDENT

My name is Tony Totty, and I am proud to announce my candidacy for UAW Vice President. I have been elected to three terms as President of UAW Local 14. I have held many positions in our union. As part of a successful bargaining team, I have helped negotiate contracts that delivered gains for our members.

Throughout my career, I have chaired numerous standing committees and currently serve as Chairman of Sub Council 3 in General Motors and President of the Toledo Area CAP Council. I have also had the opportunity to represent autoworkers on the national stage, speaking before Congress about the issues facing our industry and appearing on numerous national news programs to advocate for UAW members and working-class families. Beyond the workplace, I am deeply committed to our communities through service on multiple nonprofit boards and by mentoring students in Toledo Public Schools.

As we face uncertain economic times and prepare for challenging contract negotiations, our union needs experienced, creative, and determined leadership that will fight to protect jobs, secure employment levels, demand true dignity on the job, and in retirement. The companies will not hand us anything, and we cannot afford to follow leaders who identify problems without offering solutions. My leadership is grounded in a strong understanding of our contract history, a proven ability to unite people around common goals, and the experience necessary to confront corporate challenges from day one.

Together, we can build a stronger future for our members in all sectors, protect our livelihoods, and ensure that working families continue to have a powerful voice at the bargaining table. I respectfully ask for your support and your vote for UAW Vice President.
